Age 16+
Have you or a family member turned 16?
When you reach 16, there are some important changes to your health privacy rights. At this age, you can make your own decisions about your health. This means you can choose to receive or decline treatment on your own.
While we encourage you to talk to your parents, guardians, or next of kin about any health concerns, it's entirely up to you. Your medical information is confidential and will only be shared with others if you give us your permission.
If you would like your parent or guardian to continue acting on your behalf for things like receiving test results or ordering prescriptions, please get in touch with us to let us know what you would like to change or keep the same.
