General Info
Dr Tania Moerenhout (she/her)
General Practitioner
I was born and raised in Belgium and completed my medical degree in 2007, and additional GP training in 2009 at the University of Brussels. I have adapted an evidence-based approach to medicine and developed an interest in philosophy which I was able to complete a Master's degree in. In 2015, I decided to continue my GP work part-time and to pursue a Ph.D. in Philosophy. I spent a year as a Visiting Researcher at the University of Pittsburgh in the United States in 2016.
I moved to New Zealand in August 2020 and I work part-time here at Broadway as well as being a Lecturer in Bioethics at the University of Otago.
In my spare time, I enjoy walking our German Shepherd, Mitch and exploring beautiful Aotearoa with my husband. I have recently started guitar lessons and look forward to trying new outdoor activities here as well.
